Greetings, D4 residents -
As the seasons change and the weather warms (and hopefully includes spring showers), my team and I have enjoyed the additional opportunities to spend time in the community. While it is always important to celebrate culture and achievements, it has been even more rewarding to gather in-person this month for celebrations of Holi and Women's History Month.
I was also able to read stories to children at D4 Reads at the Bascom Community Center, hike the newly acquired Laguna Seca tract in North Coyote Valley (thank you Greenfoothills), interact with residents and local vendors at the Santa Clara Farmer's Market, and - as you may have learned via coverage by Bay City News and Sal Pizarro's column in the San Jose Mercury News - partner with Community Cycles of California and the City of San Jose to give away 50 new bikes to children who participated in the Project Hope litter cleanup in the Cadillac-Winchester neighborhood.
