The Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors last week unanimously approved a COVID-19 recovery proposal allowing the county to waive or reduce permit fees for small businesses for one year.
The waiver applies to businesses with fewer than 50 employees and includes restaurants, hair salons and gyms, according to a press release issued by Supervisor Cindy Chavez’s office. It took effect March 9 and will appear on the permit holder’s next invoice
